Everything you need for a fantastic day…
Partly wooded, 5-acre ‘fun combat ground’, dedicated to paintballing and various outdoor activities including archery, laser tag, air gun shooting and clay pigeon shooting, supervised by enthusiastic and energetic marshals, with a pub just down the road to regale one another with tales of bravery and compare ‘war wounds’ at the end of a hard day in the woods!

The Amazing Hedge Puzzle
The Jubilee Maze is one of Britain’s most famous traditional hedge mazes, with a romantic temple at the centre and over a kilometre of hedges. It was planted by Lindsay and Edward Heyes in 1977.
The Violette Szabo GC Museum
The story and life of Violette Szabo is much in evidence at the museum along with life stories of the many resistance workers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Visitors can learn about Ravensbruck the concentration Camp that Violette and many of her compatriots were sent to following their capture.
Kilpeck Church
The church at Kilpeck, referred to as the church of St Mary and St David, is one of the finest surviving examples of the Herefordshire School of Sculpture.
Hereford Cathedral
This beautiful building is the home of the community which has worshipped and worked together here continuously for well over 1,300 years.
The home of the Mappa Mundi and the Magna Carta
Goodrich Castle
Standing in open countryside above the River Wye, Goodrich Castle is one of the finest and best preserved of all English medieval castles. Boasting a fascinating history, spectacular views from the battlements and a delightful tea room Goodrich Castle promises a great day out for everyone.
Clearwell Caves
An extensive natural cave system, set in a beautiful valley. Show caves and mine workings with exciting displays throughout. Remarkably, the Caves have produced artists’ pigment for over 4,500 years and ochre pigments are still mined here today. You see our ochre workshop where pigment is still produced. Iron ore was mined here for over 2,000 years until 1945; making Clearwell Caves one of the most complex and ancient mine systems in Britain. Going underground here is a great experience for all the family and an essential part of any visit to the Forest of Dean.
